We only build for the open road.
MotelWebWorks is a small American studio with one focus: filling rooms for independent motels, motor lodges, and roadside inns.
Retro soul. Modern site. No compromise between the two.
We grew up in the back seat, watching for the sign — the neon arrow, the boomerang roofline, the promise of a pool and a good night's sleep. That world is coming back, and the travelers looking for it are looking on their phones.
So we build websites that carry the golden-age feeling — the color, the type, the glow — on top of fast, modern, mobile-first engineering that books a room at midnight without a hiccup. Those two things were never really at odds. Putting them together is the whole job.
What we are, and what we're not
We are
- A web-design studio that only works with independent lodging.
- Builders of fast, mobile-first sites made to book rooms directly.
- Brand people who love neon, signage, and a property with a story.
- A real team you can email, with upkeep after launch.
We are not
- A booking platform or online travel agency taking a cut of your rooms.
- A property manager — you run your motel, we build your front door.
- A template farm stamping out the same site with your name dropped in.
- A franchise. Every place we build for gets to look like itself.
Ray Callahan
Founder and lead designer. Ray has spent a lot of nights on two-lane highways watching for a good sign, and a lot of days building websites that load fast and sell the room. MotelWebWorks is where those two habits met.
"I started this because I kept seeing beautiful old motels — the kind somebody poured their life into — losing bookings to a slow website and a travel app that treats them like inventory. We can fix that. It's not complicated, and it shouldn't cost a fortune."
